Bali Ayu Hotel
The room was clean, but could have done with a little more cleaning. Towels have most likely not been washed at the right temperature as they resembled a gray white colour rather than white. Bali Ayu Hotel & Villas door had a lock that didn’t make us feel safe leaving our bags there, but had no issues for the two days booked. Didn’t use the pool, but it seemed clean and spacious as there were always people sunbathing we we walked by
Ubud Tropical Garden
Our son, who lives in Bali, has stayed at Ubud Tropical Garden and recommended it to us. I'm glad he did! It has only 15 rooms but it's super clean, well maintained and the staff are really delightful and friendly. All the rooms look at the pool, although (I think) some are near the road which would be noisy. Our garden room was serene and tranquil and looked at the rice paddy nearby. To get around they have a couple of cars and the drivers will take you anywhere you want for a reasonable price. There are a number of great restaurants and bars very close so you don't have to go far. We did a bit of walking but it was very hot. Don't be put off by the price of this place! It's exceptional value.
Desak Putera Cottages
Return customers to this Lovely little hotel with its beautiful peaceful setting. When we arrived, again we were welcomed with another lovely tropical drink. Desak Putu Putera Cottages staff are very helpful and accommodating. Our room was very nice and clean and a good size. Room perfectly cleaned everyday. It is in a good location with plenty of nearby warungs to try out and with a convenient shuttle to drop us off near the Monkey forest or markets.
